Innovative and profound communicator, Chris Hill, is being used by God to help redefine the scope and influence of the 21st Century Christian pulpit on post-modern culture across the globe. Prior to founding Chris Hill Ministries International he served as the Youth and Associate Pastor of the Potter’s House Church in Dallas, Texas under the leadership of T.D. Jakes.
Born the product of a broken family, Chris was raised in the inner city ghettos of Roxbury, Massachusetts. Because of his humble beginnings, he is no stranger to hardship and this process of pain has produced in Chris a powerful ability to connect with people. He has learned how to speak effectively to the human condition. Armed with a fresh and global perspective, his insights into the Word of God are both reverent and relevant enabling him to hold the attentions of both the young and the old alike. His animated and articulate approach produces a gripping delivery that simultaneously captures both saint and seeker.
Chris has spoken at youth rallies around the country including Acquire the Fire and he has also written for a number of Christian magazines and journals. He is the author of The Winning Spirit. Through his traveling, speaking, writing, preaching and leadership, Chris is impacting thousands of people every year.
Chris and his wife, Lady Joy Hill, a powerful psalmist and worship leader, have been married for 14 years and they have two sons.

We spent some time with Chris during a ministry project. We asked him some questions about taking risks, making decisions, and speaking to young people. You can see more of Chris in one of the Bluefish TV video resources on the right.
Bluefish TV: How do you encourage people to take risks in life?
Chris Hill: Everyone who ever did anything great, walked through risk and people who attempt to walk out life without risk, never do anything great. I think the fear of failure grips you when you begin to analyze everything to a point where your emotions are invested, where your intellect is invested. I think we get to a place where we wonder what people are going to say about us and think about us. But the history books are written about people who risk it, who put it on the line and are not afraid to fail.
Bluefish TV: How do you encourage young adults who are struggling to make decisions about their life?
Chris Hill: There are so many decisions to make and they find themselves a deer in the headlights of their own destiny. They’re just staring down this decision, and it’s analysis paralysis—they analyze it so much that they become paralyzed by the analysis process. We don’t want to do the wrong thing, we have to do the right thing. There is so much pressure…it’s really important that you make a decision and young adults, instead of standing there for the next five years trying to make the right decision, just make a decision—shoot, pass or dribble…in the midst of that you have to walk in enough faith to believe that God, who began a good work in you, is faithul to complete it.
Bluefish TV: When you speak to young people what do you seek to communicate?
Chris Hill: When I get done with a group of young people, I want them to know the Christ that has anointed them to win…I don’t want them to walk back to their car, I want them to fly out the door knowing that they’re fearfully and wonderfully made and that the God inside of them is greater than any influence from outside of them.
