Our team loves the church and we love small groups. But we realize that sometimes churches need more than just a small group study.
That's why Max Lucado, Pete Briscoe, and Margaret Feinberg have partnered with Bluefish TV to create the 2011 Adult Bible Study Kit. In this small group video series you’ll find optional resources to help you turn your small group study into a church-wide study.
In addition to the Bible study material, leader’s guide, and six workbooks within each study, we’ve also included a BONUS Church-Wide Resource DVD packed with real-life stories, video sermon illustrations, background images, and promotional materials (teaser trailers, flyers, posters, logos, headshots) to help you carry the message even further.
Here’s a brief description of everything included in the 2011 Adult Bible Study Kit:

Answers and Insights to Your Most Important Questions
Why Me? Why am I here? Why did this happen? Can you help me understand? Where’s the lifeline? Where can I turn? Is there any hope?
We have questions. Real, important and challenging questions. Questions about family, finances, and forgiveness. Unsettling questions regarding illness, death and eternity. Don’t we crave answers to these questions that tug on the deepest parts of our hearts?
Max Lucado has received thousands of questions and wrestled with plenty of his own. In these eight sessions, one of today’s most trusted pastors takes on life’s most important questions. Here’s hoping that his answers to the questions of others will help you find answers to your own.

In this compelling real-life story, you’ll hear how conflict affects their marriage as they honestly struggle with the question, “Can we make this marriage work?”
- Jennifer – Jennifer lives with unrelenting disability and pain. She struggles alone—as a single parent—to raise her daughter and keep her home while losing friends who are weary of her situation. This real-life story illustrates the questions, “Why did this happen?” and “Does God even care?”
- Smith & Julie – Smith and Julie lost their young son in a dreadful accident. As they suffer in their sadness, they ask God, “Why would you allow this to happen?” This heart-breaking real-life story shows how God is working in their lives in the middle of intense, personal tragedy.
- Rian – Rian is grateful for the life God has given him; content in his family, home and career. But he honestly shares that he lost the passion he once had in his faith. Rian’s candid real-life story illustrates the times when we feel distant from God and wonder how we can regain our passion.
Experience Life featuring Pete Briscoe
Learning to Follow Jesus in a Me-centered World
Are You a Follower?
Every day, the world screams at us, “You’re number one. Look out for yourself—your own comfort and happiness.” But that’s not what Jesus said. He told us to follow him. And following him means we’re not number one—Jesus is.
In these four sessions, Pete Briscoe explores what it means to surrender to Jesus and the dynamic impact following Christ will have on our personal lives, our relationships, and our service to others.
Four video-driven sessions:
Session 1 – Experience Life (21 min.)
Session 2 – Life in Christ (23 min.)
Session 3 – Life with Others (22 min.)
Session 4 – Life Expressed (20 min.)
Includes a Leader’s Guide (52 pages) and 6 Workbooks (32 pages each), in addition to five video-driven sermon illustrations:
- Experience Life – We all struggle with sin. It’s real and it brings destruction. But in his magnificent mercy and grace, God forgives those who confess. This powerful video clip illustrates the extent of God’s forgiveness toward those who trust in Christ.
- Signs of Forgiveness – Living with other people inevitably means we get hurt. Bitterness that smolder in our hearts will eventually destroy us. But Scripture offers a compelling alternative. This dramatic video illustrates the damage people cause in the lives of others and the healing power of forgiveness.
- Josh Hamilton – Major League Baseball All-star, Josh Hamilton, shares about the devastation his drug and alcohol addiction brought on his life. In this compelling video illustration, Josh explains how surrendering to Jesus was the only way to be victorious and the difference that decision has made in his life.
- Tony Dungy – In this inspiring video illustration, Tony Dungy, head coach of the Super Bowl XLI champion Indianapolis Colts, discusses how he grew through failure and the discipline it takes to lead with integrity. Tony talks about the temptation to put football first and the importance of letting Jesus Christ be the head coach of your life.
- Pete Briscoe – In this passionate video illustration, pastor and author, Pete Briscoe, shares how his pursuit of human success left him exhausted and empty. Pete explains that only through following Jesus—who loves us and sacrificed himself for us—can we find peace and true significance.
Verbs of God featuring Margaret Feinberg
Shot on location in the Rocky Mountains
Where is God when I need Him?
When we look around at the pain, loss and hurt in our world and even in our own lives, we can’t help but wonder, “God, don’t you see this? Can’t you do something about this? Where are you?”
In these four sessions, Margaret Feinberg uses fresh insights and Biblical teaching to study four verbs that Scripture uses in connection with God. When we understand God’s active nature, we realize how God is always active and engaged in our lives. Even when we can’t see or feel him, God is constantly on the move and working.
Four video-driven sessions:
Session 1 – The Great I AM (15 min.)
Session 2 – The God Who Sees (12 min.)
Session 3 – The God Who Listens (14 min.)
Session 4 – The God Who Calls (14 min.)
Includes a Leader’s Guide (52 pages) and 6 Workbooks (32 pages each), in addition to four video-driven sermon illustrations:
- The Divine Element – It is as obvious and essential as the air we breathe. It holds together all that is and all that will be. It bonds with despair to create comfort. It is the one element before time from which all other elements arise. It is the holy, the sacred, and our Creator who is the Divine element.
- Hard to Live by Faith – Today many people are stressed due to finances, illness or relationships. We struggle to make sense of our pain. This poignant illustration follows a young mother’s honest, yet grateful prayer and encourages us to focus on God’s provision.
- Where is God? – It is easy to see God’s hand in the splendor of a sunset or the glory of a mountaintop. But we wonder where God is when we are in our most difficult times. This uplifting video clip illustrates how God is with us when and where we need Him most.
- Are You Listening? – From the moment we arise, we are bombarded with noise. The television blares, sirens wail, children chatter, there’s constant commotion at work. And we wonder why we don’t hear from God. This probing illustration suggests the need to be still to hear God’s call.
